Best Friends
We're unstoppable, we're exciting, Laughing even when we are fighting. You said you'd never met a girl like me, I replied that friends we'd always be,
We've known each other since diaper days, We made it through the preschool phase, Through elementary, middle and soon high school, We've always been stuck like glue,
Now we're older, teenagers yes, Of all my friends you're still the best, But sometimes I wonder if some how, some way, Would we, could we, fall in love some day?

You think a lot while writing poetry, don't you? It shows. Now, I'm not trying to be mean in saying that I just dont seem to like your work. I'm not big on rhyming. I am not, however saying, that you don't have potential. A lot of beginning poets adhere strictly to the ABAB or AABB rhyme sequence, because during early stages, it's easiest.
I would suggest jsut sitting down wiht a pen and paper. Either sit somewhere completely silent, or somplace just bursting with sound. Then, put pen to paper and just write. Dont think. Dont erase, dont cross out. Just write. Let your hand do the talking and just accept wherever it decides to go. Chances are, the first few times you do this, the wriitng will be really bad or not make any sense at all. Bu you will find that by freeing your mind, you may actually get something good - something with emotion, which your pieces seem to be lacking.
