I'm of the older generation. Us kids practically lived outdoors lol I lived in the country so it was easy to ride up & down our road where there wasn't hardly any traffic. Now as far as riding our bikes on trails for fitness, that was not something we did. We just did it for fun.
Did you like to ride your bike? Did you have favorite places to go? Do you remember what kind you had? Banana seat or 10-Speed?

There were a couple of summers I remember just being outside riding my bike. I was only allowed to play outside when my older brother was willing to go with me.

1998 kid so I definitely spent a large portion of my childhood outside as well. Loved riding my bike although I stopped at some point and just never started again. It's not something I do anymore though which is a shame.

Just a little, I should have learned more about using a bike but I didn't want to get hurt.

Born in the late '80s. Definitely spent a good chunk of the 90s on my bike, riding around the neighborhood with friends. I had an old 10-speed mountain bike and we used to ride through the woods near our houses. As a teen, I was into BMX for a bit. Definitely have a few scars from more than a few spills. I still like taking rides down to the beach on nice days.

Yes I have so many pictures of scrapes of biking around as a kid.

It's not something I do anymore though which is a shame. My parents never allowed me to ride bikes in the neighborhood considering the stories that used to fly around how unsafe it is to ride bikes there as kids. I did ride sometimes in the compound, but missed doing so with friends around back then.

Yes, quite a bit. I still used stabilisers until I was about 8 years old, but, once I got the hang of cycling without them, I enjoyed it . Sadly, it's not something I've done for over a decade now!

I think most of the time, I was out with my parents and never by myself or just with friends since I was quite young.
