In Yoga, there are numerous breathing exercises popularly called Pranayama. These breathing exercises are as simple as inhaling and exhaling deep and as complicated as pushing your stomach in ward and breathing forcefully. According to Yoga, you can cure various diseases like hypertension and diabetes through breathing exercises.

I definitely believe there are significant health benefits to doing yoga. However, I wouldn't advise simply doing yoga to cure hypertension and diabetes. I imagine that the overall lifestyle changes that tends to happen with individuals who regularly practices yoga helps combat diseases such as these.

Yeah, I can't imagine diabetes being solved by just some breathing exercises. I'm sure yoga and meditation are great for your body though. I do have to try it out at some point.

People tend to take for granted their breathing. Most do it shallowly & their lungs & other organs don’t receive the nourishment they need to function better. Deep belly breathing is where the belly moves in & out as opposed to the chest. I've tinkered with pranayama breaths but found that just focusing on deep belly breathing is what works for me.

That’s interesting.
I have never done yoga so I wouldn’t know about these. I can see how they can be helpful though.

I've started to do them right when going to bed, seems to help me get to sleep easier.
