I am making a conscious effort to get better quality sleep. Going to bed at almost 2 in the morning and then waking up around 7:30 is not cutting it and I've noticed that it's taken a toll on my overall health.

Not great. I'm trying hard to fall asleep a bit earlier but it's a bit hard. I had some time off from Uni recently so my sleep schedule is messed up at the moment. It's slowly going back to normal though. Instead of falling asleep at 4am, I'm sleeping at 1-2am.

Remarkably good considering all I'm dealing with as of late, I am sleeping well. Might have to do with a certain level of confidence that one gets as one ages. I feel that I will overcome all these issues facing me, and that somehow I will win.

Let me guess, your heart races and your body just doesn't want to fall asleep?

I wouldn't say my heart races. It's just that I got used to waking up a bit later so I wasn't falling asleep at the usual sleeping time. I was just wide awake and bored which meant I used my phone which just made it even worse.

Yeah using tech doesn't help, I try and do a few house chores being going to be to get away from the screens.

Yeah, I've read so many articles stating how bad it is to use tech before going to sleep. A lot harder to actually do it though and give it up.

The makes so much sense! Thank you for sharing this! Although I'm not sure if falling asleep is the issue - it's staying asleep that's the tricky part. I will consciously follow these techniques though for when I wake up in the middle of the night.

I wake up a lot myself but usually rolling back over takes care of it.
