I have never tried this style pizza yet. From what I understand it's like a square cut deep dish pizza. An associate of mine mentioned that a local place requires 24 hours in advanced order for a Detroit style pizza. Have you heard of this before? Have you tried it? What do you think about it?

I'm not a fan of deep dish myself, rather have New York style or just regular pizza.

Not for me either. I would happily eat it if someone gave me a slice because you never say no to a pizza. But I just prefer the regular style of pizza (whatever it's called).

Looked up an image, as I thought it's just thicker dough/bread pizza, while I enjoy a good chewy crust I don't want it too thick.

I love the crust of a pizza but it has to be soft like the traditional pizza has. A very crispy/thick base is just a huge no for me as well.

There is a local chain in my area that the end of the pizza crush is just like a breadstick as it's usually soft and chewy, so freaking good.

I've had it a couple of times. It's pretty good, but I definitely prefer NY-style slices over Chicago or Detroit style. Traditional Italian hand-tossed is great as well.
