Does anyone else have thyroid problems?
I had my thyroid removed almost 5 years ago and I was doing great with the hormone for a few years but last year I had to have an adjustment made and now this year I'm having issues too. It's driving me nuts that such a tiny pill can make such a huge difference in how I feel, either really good or really bad.

I don't know of anyone with the issue, looking it up though they don't seem very fun.

A nurse practitioner once tried to tell me that I had a thyroid issue based on my lab results. I've never spoken to the guy before and he never asked me about my nutrition, fitness habits, or anything. I didn't feel comfortable with him walking in when I was expecting my doctor at the time and for him to speak to me with medical terminology he knew I wouldn't understand I didn't like that either. When I tried to ask him about what he meant he acted as if I was questioning him and he continued to throw medical jargon at me. I never did go back to that clinic and my new doctor never mentioned any issues with my blood work to indicate a thyroid issue. I don't recommend that you ignore a doctor's medical advice. I'm just saying it doesn't hurt to get a second opinion particularly if your gut is telling you that something isn't right. lammchen I'm sorry to hear that you're having to deal with that. It really doesn't fun at all.

This time she's a little slower so I'm getting kind of frustrated. I did get the blood work done and even though my numbers are in range, the TSH is toward the bottom end of where they want me to be. I'm going to ask for a small change and check back in 4-6 weeks.

I do not have any issues with thyroid, but there are thyroid patients in my family. My father takes medication for hyperthyroidism, my mother does not take medication but her thyroid levels are a little lower than normal, and my sister-in-law takes medication for hypothyroidism.
