Does anyone use Shazam to identify songs that they like but don't know the name of? And if so, how often do you use it?
Whilst I do use Shazam sometimes for its main purpose, I also like to use it to scan music that I have forgotten about and want to add to a playlist later. It's a great way to just save music so you don't forget it again.

Never even heard of it to be honest, sounds like a useful one, can it do any language?

I usually just ask Siri "What am I listening to?" to find the name of a song. I've heard of Shazam, but just never actually used it.

For me, every time I'd hear something I'd want to check, it'd already be done by the time I got Shazam out, or the environment would be too noisy for it to pick the song out... so I just started jotting down the lyrics I could catch so I could look it up later.
That was a few years ago, of course. I have a Google phone now, so it has the option to let me know what's playing in my notification bar, but it isn't all that helpful for me, either.

Yeah, unfortunately, the Google one is not great. And like you said, in a really loud environment, Shazam isn't amazing either.
