I found a nice seashell crocheted bag pattern online and I decided to test it with one strand of yarn instead of the two that the pattern called for and so it turned out floppy. I starched it using a cornstarch recipe and it's okay but not exactly how I envisioned it in the end. I decided to turn it into a holder for the seashell coasters I made. The seashell coasters pattern is my own and I created it after looking at a photo that the pattern is now discontinued.

Those are really cool. I am constantly in awe of people who can knit/crochet all these fantastic things.

How unique! It makes me think of the sort of decor you'd find in a beach house, which is always fun. I'm glad you found a use for it, even if it didn't go quite as you hoped.

That's really cute! How long did it take you to make this?

That's really cute! How long did it take you to make this? The holder took a few hours to make and the coasters themselves went very quickly. Probably a half hour or less for each coaster? I usually watch tv while I work on projects so I don't keep track.

I'm always amazed to see the crafts people make, thank you so much for sharing this. I hope it inspires others to look into crocheting (that is a word right?) as well!
