I'm proud of this, even though it was my wife that came up with the idea. One of the things I was noticing was that after my trivia quizzes, my pens would disappear. Solution...
My game's logo and website printed on the pens. Let 'em vanish now...more advertising for me!

That IS a brilliant idea! When I used to work at a furniture store, representatives from different manufacturers would come by and hand out different promotional items. I always loved getting pens. I can say that whenever I would hand pens for customers to use I would use those so I did not have to chance losing my nice pens.

That is a really awesome idea, I hardly use pens any more but should have back in the day.

Pens are always needed so good thinking on your part! Even if someone loses that pen, the next person will see your advertising. I noticed that some advertising specialty companies charge more than others so I hope you found a place that offered you a good deal! How many did you have to order up front?

Pens are always needed so good thinking on your part! Even if someone loses that pen, the next person will see your advertising. I noticed that some advertising specialty companies charge more than others so I hope you found a place that offered you a good deal! How many did you have to order up front? Funny story about that. We (well, my partner) ordered 200, and a few days later, I got a call from her.
"So, you got your pens?" "Er, um...no, I didn't. Was I supposed to have?" "Well, yeah. I just got the notice that they were delivered."
So I searched around a bit, thinking that perhaps my wife brought them in and didn't tell me or something. And no dice...so I called my partner back and asked her if we could contact the shipper and find out what happened.
While she did that, I called up my next door neighbor, who I remembered had a video doorbell, and asked him if he could review what happened at the time UPS said that they delivered the package. He said he'd take a look...meanwhile, my partner explained what happened to the manufacturer and, just from asking nicely, they agreed to deliver a replacement shipment.
The next day, my neighbor gave me a call. Sure enough, UPS had delivered packages exactly at the given time - and promptly dropped it off at the wrong address. I reported this to UPS along with the tracking number, and they agreed to investigate.
Long story short (too late) I ended up with both boxes. The manufacturer shipped one to me, and then about a week later, UPS finally figured out what had happened and delivered a slightly more battered box with another 200 pens. So I have plenty now, and essentially I got them for half price!

That's nice. So you have your own brand and website? What's the niche? I remember when I used to go to nearby shops for buying a product, we get some complimentary promotional items like pen, notebooks etc having official logos printed on them. I felt so excited for such complimentary items, I mean, who the hell won't like em. 😁

My other is a computer repair and service business, and it also operates my forums as a promotional service.

I always wanted to purchase promotional items advertising sites I owned or administrated over, over the last 15 years, but never saved enough money to fork out the costs for the stuff I wanted. I have the ability to do so now, but not sure how well it would work this time around, since I no longer live in an area that has a good city population to advertise my sites to.
