OK so the other day I noticed there was a $5 increase in my internet bill. We don't have cable TV so we just pay for the highest speed internet we can afford. My monthly charge for internet was $56. My new bill indicated that the new charge is $61. I spoke with 2 representatives before I decided to ask to be transferred to their cancellation department because neither personnel was able to get my bill back to my original cost without down grading my service. I spoke with the cancellation department and suddenly she was able to offer me a FASTER speed for a lesser cost of $40.50! How awesome is that?! I am going from up to 18mbps to up to 45mbps. My husband is going to be so pleased. lol

Nice. I have found that when you threaten to cancel a service, they tend to figure out how to give you what you were supposed to be getting in the first place. We went through the same thing with our cable company. Our bill jumped $10 and after nobody could tell us why, we told them we were cancelling - they dropped the bill back to what it was and added 3 months of HBO at no additional cost.

All they want is money and they up the bill in hopes no one will notice (most don't and don't care XD). Be all like "I'mma cancel this bish" and suddenly, they have all the answers. And like Absinthe said; a lower bill or discount!
3 months of HBO? Free? I'll tell my grandma to start cancelling our cable. XD
