So last night I received an email saying that my bill was past due. I freaked out because I never do that I usually pay my bills early. I called guest services today and explained the situation and they waived the $25 late fee. Phew that was close.

Lucky! I'm a bit jealous of your apparent skills with customer service reps.

Most of the time they're willing to work with you if it's a first time or rare repetitive "offense" as long as you keep your cool. However, I do get upset when they screw up and the employees don't want to look into it out of laziness as then you have to be more aggressive otherwise they keep giving you the run around

Yes, I'm pretty good at being diplomatic when it comes to getting customer service. I've learned to take down names of everyone I talk to and when - my experience with Sprint taught me that one! =)

That's great. A few companies are happy to do that as long as it's your first time I think. If you keep doing it, they're less likely to help you out.
Talking about CS, Amazon has the best for me. They're always happy to take things back even if the return window has closed.

I've never tried returning anything after the return period! Interesting!

During these times payment companies have been more patient and forgiving. Glad to hear they waved it

I've never tried returning anything after the return period! Interesting! Not sure how many other companies will do it but if you buy enough from Amazon, they will treat you well. As long as you don't take advantage of it, they'll let you do it once in a while. They refunded the cost of my PS4 controller because the thumbstick was problematic but let me keep it as well.

I've had instances like that, where for whatever reason I didn't like the product or changed my mind sometimes I request a return and it comes back to me stating that I don't have to send the item back and that my refund will be issued. It doesn't happen every time but yes I've experienced this as well.

Yeah, funnily it's happened twice to me, both with PS controllers that have ended up with minor issues. Once with a PS4 one and the other time with a PS5 one. Weirdly, we had an issue with some apple earphones that we ordered from them. They actually wanted that back.

I hope that doesn't happen again soon.
I haven't had late fees in the past few years. I hate them in general. Though I do remember the last major one I did have, the bank was pretty good about refunding it, considering I hadn't had any issues on file, in the past year or two, when I got pegged with the fee. Certainly don't want to have to go through that again.
