I'm looking into buying a domain and seriously making a website that can fit a good niche and attract a lot of users. Any advice that can be provided? So far I notice that among high traffic boards on the net, there are many of them have a few things in common. - Users can post anonymously as guests on forums and view content without having to sign up.
- Having an account still yields perks for the user, however.
- Download and content section allows for users to submit and share, often times with the option to post on facebook/twitter/tumblr etc.

That's a tough one - I'm not quite experienced in this area so I'm not sure helpful I can be. I don't find myself going to a particular website every time with exception to Serene Distraction (of course), Proboards Support, ForumConnect.net, and Forumpromotion.net. I know personally when I am wanting information I just do a Google search for what I need and usually click on 1 of the first 5 results in hopes of finding the answer I need.

High traffic does not remain forever. Google keeps on changing and you end up getting low or high traffic based on how much quality content or the product that you have. My personal observation is that those sites and the brands who build the community around their services or domain name. Those tend to do a lot better for the traffic generation. For each site the strategy would be different and it is not easy to gauge what works for you may or may not work for me.

That's very obvious that the sites which is more convenient for a visitor will get more attention. Suppose, I am searching for information regarding cryptocurrency, I searched on Google and landed up on a forum. The contents there I have found are not correct, and I want to post something on that regard. Now, if posting process is so complicated that I have to first sign up, verify email and do all the stuffs, I will better avoid that. Inspite that, if the forum has anonymous posting enabled, I would simply post as a guest. In this way, we can increase the visitor's engagement. That's a quality of most of the high ranking forums/blogs.
