Which aspect of music do you find most vital for a good song?
I would say the singer and the lyrics and then the overall beat. If the song has bad lyrics it's harder for me to get into the song unless they have a really catchy beat. If the lyrics are lame IMO the singer can only do so much to keep the song alive.
So basically, unique sounding music, good singing, and meaningful lyrics

I think each song is different... an acappella can sound extremely beautiful with the right voice(s). Classical composers like Bach and Mozart...their music had no words but they are beautiful none-the-less.
This discussion reminds me of a nice quote I've always liked: "“Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent."

I'd say the lyrics. They have to be meaningful and blend in well with the beat/tune. Not some random lyrics which have been thrown together! xD
