I'll go first. The person who inspires me as well as being proud of my cherokee heritage is Wilma Pearl Mankiller.

I kind of think maybe everyone here is to young to remember these, but probabley have heard of them, 1.Jimi Hendrix wikipedia-Jimi Hendrix if you do not know who he was, the other 2. Janis Joplin wikipedia-Janis Joplin
Both died of drug ovedosis, this is sad because they both were extremely talented, another, Hank Williams, wikipedia-HankWilliams if you like country music, and actually many artists, waste and destroy their lives, because the get mixed up with drugs and alcohol,..I am inclined to believe people of "artistic" nature, should especially stay away from even alcohol , I think there is some thing that makes them prone to alcoholism and drug abuse,.. One does not need to try these , in order to be a good artist. However someone that has great potential as a artist, may very well destroy their future, and if not lose their life, lose the "talent" and gift they have. There is no way to predict who can "handle" or control alcohol or drug use, and who can not,...that is to say no one can tell when someone first drinks or drugs, everyone thinks "oh, I can control it",..but if one is a alcoholic,or addict nature,...they can not control it, it destroys their life, and no one has yet found a way to predict, who will lose the "game", experimenting with booze, or drugs , is about the same as a game of russian roulette. In case someone does not know what that is: wikipedia-russian roulette
Sorry if it seems I got off subject, but this leads to the "inspiration" part,..all though all 3 of these musicians, their music was ,and still is inspiring to me, particularly with Janis, and Jimi, I am a little younger then they would be, but not much, and sadly/or for my own good, depending on how one looks at it, when they died, how they died so sudden and so young, helped make me take a hard look at myself, and later when I found my self in a hospitol, mostly due to drinking, I realized I was lucky, I had survived the "game", and was still alive,..however it also brought a end to my drinking/drugging days,..thank God,...so I still have a future,...
