I went to see Silent Hill last night. Since I like the series I figured I would check it out and a bonus, some was filmed in my city - Brantford I had really high expectations for this movie; don't ask me why because movies based on video games are usually quite sad. It wasn't a bad movie, I just thought it could have been better. There wasn't enough violence and gore and definitely not enough of the "creatures" ... they showed them for like 10 seconds and that was it. It got a little more gory towards the end, which was neat but still not enough. My favourite part was the guy in the bathroom stall (it sounds a little strange but...). If you see the movie, he's definitely the best "creature". It's worth to check it out if you're into horror movies or if you like the game. I just couldn't believe it was advertising rated R but at the theatres it was 18A (so if you're under 18, you must be accompanied by an adult). 18A for extreme violence, gore, and language ... honestly, nothing too out there. One person kind of jumped in the theatre and another one screamed once but these people are obviously not ammune to these types of movies. I may see it again because I have free tickets and now I can take my 15-year-old cousin because she'll be accompanied by me. Did anyone else see this or are planning to?

I was planning on checking it out. I have to see when I'll have the time first. Thanks for the review.

I really wanna see it, and so do alot of people at school. Some of them already did, so they were talking about it on the bus.
I'll probably have to wait until I can get it on dvd though.
But I saw When A Stranger Calls on friday. It wasn't bad.

The movie was ok. Visually it was amazing, but they changed just too much. Like, Allysa was not the mother of God... but in the movie, she is just a normal girl thought to be a witch. Dalia isn't evil, she is just cracked out. Far too many changes.

I don't know the games that well, except 4, so I don't know the changes but they always change it up in movies from the games. What was with making Nemesis help the good guys in Resident Evil Apocalyspe? Ruined.

He helped, because they changed the story. In the movie, Nemesis was some guy from the first movie. Lame.

Yeah, I know ... that was horrible. I don't even get the whole Alice thing. It was lame how she had all these "powers". I keep saying how cool a Resident Evil 4 movie would be but I know they'd ruin it. They would probably get Ashlee Simpson to play Ashley - both annoying as sin.

They kinda look alike as well. I just want them to make movies like the game. Not movies with remote similarities.

The first one had a mansion with a lab under it. Zombies. That's really about it.

oh yeah the Hive. I actually haven't seen the first movie in a long time. I've seen the second one a ton of times because it always plays on TV. The more I see it, the more I hate it.

I watched Silent Hill yesterday... and... I laughed hysterically... Well, only at two parts. One was when Rose was in the bathroom and the thing came out and it was like licking the wall I think. And the other when Rose was in the hotel and the little girl was there and she was like "Look at me... I'm burning." I just found that too funny.
I thought the beginning towards the middle of the movie was good, but once it got to the end with all the different people in the church it just got confusing and boring. I watched it with a friend and she was all into it (and a little scared) but I didn't think it was like great. It was okay...

I liked the movie - I went to see it with my friends and were actually about maybe 5 minutes late. When we walked into the theatre it was all dark and stuff and the first thing I hear was: "SHARON!!! ...SHARON!!!!" we got a laughing fit about that one. I thought that special effects were great. The ending wasn't brilliant or anything but overall - I think it was a decent movie. I'd watch it again.
