A Nightmare on Elm Street - 80s movie.
Okay, has anyone seen the sequels? We have the box set and I've been watching (up to 5) lately. So the second one and fourth one are absolutely horrendous.
Oh, and what about the Friday the 13th sequels? Has anyone ever taken the time to watch them all? I have. Has anyone seen the video compilation called "Boogeymen"? It has various horror villians all in one disc and shows a scene from a movie. For Jason Voorhees - they pick a scene from "Jason Goes to Hell". That movie SUCKS beyond belief. I guess I better not give anything away.
Scream. The first one was okay, not scary or unique, but at least it was decent to watch. The sequels were laughable ... don't get me started why on the third one.
What about you?

Actually, I can stand the Scream trilogy if only for the fact that I can point out nearly every pop culture plug they've got in that movie.
You are absolutely right about "Jason in Hell", but I would definitely have to say the absolute worst of that series would be the most recent, set in space. I can't even remember the name, it was such a waste to watch.
What about Halloween and its sequals. The first is classic, though not very scary. The thing that bothers me about the sequals is that all of a sudden, they decided that for the purpose of making it more....suspenseful, Jamie Lee Curtis' character was Michael Myers' sister. Its like a lot of the sequals just completely forgot about the origina.
The Nightmare on Elm Street movies were probably the first 80's horror movies I got into, when I was still pretty young. I think I saw the first one when I was like four or five.....my step-dad was watching it. I still love the fact that in the original Nightmare on Elm street, Johnny Depp gets sucked into a bed and expells far too much blood for any one human body to hold.
Anyhow, yeah.....there's my minor speil on the sequals.

Yeah, Halloween ... but they weren't as bad as Friday or Nightmare and the three usually get clumped together. Jason X was the newest installment for the Friday series. No, Jason Takes Manhattan was bad. There was another one with a main character I couldn't stand. In one of them, Corey Feldman played a boy, the next he was "grown up" but silent, and then the next one (which is the one I hate) he's all "bad ass".
I think Hellraiser has some decent sequels. I just love Pinhead though and Clive Barker's twisted ways of creating torture.
Other than horror, Mortal Kombat's sequel is watchable but I just can't stand some of the characters. Sonya was a complete let down (although I do love Bridgette Wilson so it would have been a bad choice to pick anyone after her anyway) and Rayden ... oh my god, how can you replace Christopher Lambert?
There are more ... I'm just tired.

Scary movie sequels in general are Boo-tacular. It's like, ya, we get it, you stopped it once, now you need to stop it again... Come on.
And Laura steps up a peg again... I love Pinhead. He is my second favourite villian of all time. Pyramid Head being the first.
The second Grudge comes out again. Looks not bad, but I loved the first.
Speaking of Mortal Kombat, the new one is being made, and they said all the actors from the first one were in it. Yay!

Pinhead is my favourite villian ... he's dead sexy. No, I love the quotes, especially when the guy goes "oh god" and he yells "do I look like the kind of person who cares what god thinks?" ... it's so me. We're meant to be. Too bad he's old and a character. Doug Bradley just isn't the same without his pins.
Um, yeah they have been saying there was going to be a new Mortal Kombat forever. It's like Guns N Roses "Chinese Democracy" ... it's like a legend that never happened. I'll believe when I see the previews. Well, if it does come out, I am SO going to see it in theatres.
Oh there was Meet the Fockers ... I thought that had a lot of funny moments. Oh, American Pie's sequels. They were stupid but that whole entire movie is. At first I thought trying to have sex with a pie was funny but now I just find it utterly disturbing and they left the pie on the counter. Ew.
Does anyone remember Three Ninjas? Haha ... those sequels were hilariously bad. Oh and also Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles had a sequel. Haha, Raphael is secretly a woman, I swear. Oh Scary Movie had too many sequels. I haven't seen the latest installment though.

Three Ninjas 2 was ok. The second TMNT was great. The third of each blew.

I can't get them all straight. I just like the names Bebop and Rocksteady

They aren't in the movies, and that sucks.

I thought they were in the one of the sequels? Maybe I'm getting confused with names. All I know is my dad used to do a Leatherman (was that his name, I know it's a Pearl Jam song) impression all the time.

I've seen a few Nightmare on Elm Street sequels. I saw them out of order though, but it doesn't seem like it really matters. The first one came on tv recently and I watched it outside in the middle of the night. They always seem scarier then. Then we have the last one on tape (I believe it's the last one) where they find out that Freddy had a daughter.
Ooh, but speaking of the Scary Movie sequels, I love them. The second one not so much, but I liked the first one, and I found the third one to be hilarious. I still haven't seen the fourth one, but I plan on it.
Ooh, and what about Chucky? He is just the cutest little killer doll I've ever seen. The movie's aren't scary, but I still enjoy watching them from time to time.
And has anyone ever seen Critters? It's kinda old I guess, but I believe that there were four of those movies. They used to scare me when I was younger, but I still like watching them. The second one I think was my favorite.

Critters ... is that the one with toilet man? What's that movie where the guy goes to the bathroom at the end of the movie and one of the creatures is waiting for him in the toilet? Haha. Too funny. The old white haired drunk and midget ... where they're at the fair. TOO CLASSIC.
I like Child's Play and Bride of Chucky had its moments but Seed of Chucky was stupid and sometimes just plain lame. A doll jacking off ... what a nice image.

I think the critter might have been in the toilet... I haven't seen the movies in forever. But I know my favorite was the second critters movie when they all rolled up into a giant critter ball and ran over the people. It was awesome.
I haven't seen Seed of Chucky yet, but I will eventually. I think Bride of Chucky was my favorite (I've seen that one the most). I liked it when Tiffany was like "What do we do?" and Chucky's like "What would Martha Stewart do?" Hah!

My policy on horror movie sequels: Make an original horror movie and have the ending make the audience wanting more, begging for more action/violence/terror but DO NOT, and I repeat, DO NOT make a sequel to a horror movie. They are all just so terrible and they become predictable and even funny at time. A true horror movie will leave you awake for days, not make you laugh at some stupid sex joke. Geez...I should go back to screenwriting ::goes to beat up an old Chucky doll::
