Haha, you're stoked. If only every band that releases a new album came here. Damn Toronto! Anyway, glad to hear that Children of Bodom was killer, but you're not keen on the Molson Ampitheatre, I gather?

God I hate the Molson Amp ... last time I was there I almost murdered someone or several "someones" ... thankfully Foo Fighters put on a damn amazing show or else there would have been bloodshed.

I got Nine Inch Nails tickets today! They went on sale just 20 minutes ago. I had to get four tickets rather than the usual two so we're not as close as usual but that's okay. Section 202 row U seats 11-14 at the (sick) Molson Amp!! Twice in one year for NIN, this year is amazing for shows ;D

I just found out that the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS are coming to Winnipeg. Holy! That's going to be a massive show, and if tickets are decently priced, woo!!

That's great! Rob Zombie FN ruled last night. He played White Zombie's "More Human than Human" and this giant robot thing came out - it was amazing! We couldn't bring our camera in though but the show was just so damn good. Some pricks started getting into a fight right in front of me and almost got shoved into me but thankfully a security guard came and kicked those a**holes out! Woohoo!! I got a t-shirt and bought a hoodie for my sister (because they only had medium and the sleeves were too short for me) ... next concert - PEARL JAM! I am so happy but I have to go through a whole month without a concert ... can it be done? AHHHH.

Haha, you don't have to go a whole month. Trust me, some local shows are good! Anyway, glad to hear you had fun at Rob Zombie, and that the drunks got tossed.

Whoo, saw Metric last night! That was a pretty sweet show. I wish I knew more of their songs, but the songs that I did know by them they played awesome. "Monster Hospital", "Poster of a Girl", "Empty", "Dead Disco", "Combat Baby" and "Handshakes" were all freakin' wicked. The first band was Panurge, and they were alright, but they would probably sound better recorded. The second band was The Elected, and they started off shaky, but the middle was good, and towards the end, they just played unnecessarly long. I think about 3/4 of the people there were just getting impatient. But yeah, Metric was awesome, even though we were on the second balcony, but we got floor for Franz and Death Cab!

I scored Tool tickets. They sold out at 10:00:03 ... three bloody seconds but I got balcony seats. The place only holds about 3,300 people. So balcony row WW (fourth last row) seats 73 and 74. WW sounds really bad but it starts at S and only has double letters starting at VV I think. I cannot believe I got tickets. Unfortunately, since it was two ticket limit, I couldn't get my cousin's tickets and he didn't get any.

Well, at least you got in. I just got back from the Franz/Death Cab concert. It was freaking awesome. Death Cab was a lot better live than I expected, and Franz was just rockin'. It was such a good time .

Last night was the first Pearl Jam show out of the two (tonight baby). It was amazing. It wasn't as long of setlist as they usually play. I think they only played about 24 songs ... last concert we saw by them they played 30.
Vedder had incredible energy and McCready was fucking insane on guitar. They went crazy on playing new songs and songs off "Ten". No songs off "Riot Act" unfortunately.
Set list (album in brackets):
Severed Hand (pearl jam) World Wide Suicide (pearl jam) Life Wasted (pearl jam) Marker in the Sand (pearl jam) Given to Fly (yield) Better Man (vitalogy) Even Flow (ten) Unemployable (pearl jam) Garden (ten) Sad (lost dogs/b-side) Corduroy (vitalogy) Present Tense (no code) Daughter (vs) Grievance (binaural) Not For You (vitalogy) Inside Job (pearl jam) Why Go (ten)
ENCORE #1:
Do the Evolution (yield) Jeremy (ten) Come Back (pearl jam) Alive (ten)
ENCORE #2:
Porch (ten) Rockin' in the Free World (cover) Yellow Ledbetter (rearviewmirror/b-side)
So the only songs they didn't play off their self-titled new album were Comatose (of course because that's one of my favourites), Gone, Big Wave, Parachutes, Wasted Reprise, and Army Reserve. I think that's it.
Still haven't seen them play Faithfull - my favourite song - live.
Can't wait for tonight.

BETTER THAN THE LAST . . .
May 10 show was better than May 9. More songs, better songs, and more energy from the crowd.
Eddie kind of tripped over the amp but the guy's insane. Fucking amazing show. Probably tied with the September 13 show from last year.
SET LIST:
Release World Wide Suicide Life Wasted Severed Hand Hail Hail (fuck yes) Unemloyable Dissident (I was telling Sarah how I'd love to hear this song live earlier in the day ... it gets better) Even Flow Corduroy I Am Mine Low Light (another song I told Sarah that I'd die to hear live that day) Improv Whipping (and the last song I was thinking this would be a treat live! Weird!) You Are (false start, haha. Eddie misses first line - crowd fills him in) I Got ID (fucking amazing) Cinnamon Girl (snippet) Better Man SIFL Jeremy Marker in the Sand Black (crowd sings last bit - Eddie wants to hear more) Rearview Mirror
ENCORE 1:
Wasted Reprise Man of the Hour Small Town (great energy) State of Love and Trust (absolutely insane) Do the Evolution Alive
ENCORE 2:
Go Crazy Mary Fucking Up Indifference Yellow Ledbetter
FUCKING amazing.
Merchandise at tonight's show-
4 stickers at $1.00 each Two posters at $10 each Official tour poster at $25 Waffle long sleeve shirt at $50
Tickets for both shows - $73.75 each
Total price spent on Pearl Jam over both days - $392.50.
Seeing Pearl Jam live for the fifth time - fucking priceless.

The Tool concert was awesome. We didn't write a setlist so I can't post it here. I know they played Forty Six and 2, Schism, Lateralus, Sober, Vicarious, Aenima, and more ... I'll try to post the set list later today.
The only merchandise I bought was one of those cheap keychains people sell after the concert. I wanted the HUGE $30 poster but after the show it was just too busy. We went to HMV before the concert - a good 20 minute walk (plus 20 minutes back). I bought two Pearl Jam (official) bootlegs - Toronto (which my sister had but I have to start my bootleg collection) and Seattle from the Binaural tour. Both were on sale for $19.99.
Also, side note, I got my preodered Pearl Jam CD in the mail from Ten Club today. Yes, I bought it on release day but I preodered it too. It came with a free live CD. The self-titled CD is a little different than the store bought one. Different case, different looking CD itself, and absolutely no labels on it.
If it weren't for all this good stuff, I would have killed someone by now. Work has been hell.

the NIN concert on Saturday was just awesome. I only saw Peaches perform one song - not my cup of tea. Also, Bauhaus - definitely not for me. There's nothing entertaining about watching a balding old man prance around with a bamboo stick trying to sing ... just not my style. The best surprise was hearing "Something I Can Never Have" since I love that song. Great performances included "Gave Up" and "You Know What You Are". We had the very LAST parking spot on the grass so on the last chorus of "Head Like a Hole" we ran out (we heard the last bit while running) and ran all the way to car. Then we bolted it out of there before the madness began. I was pretty much dead after that and I almost washed a $5 bill I had stuffed in my pocket but don't worry, I found it. No merchandise - it was too damn expensive, jacked up from the last time I saw NIN. I bought my Pearl Jam stickers for a buck each - NIN stickers were $3 each! Bull. But I had a great time. Next concert isn't until October 25 - Moonspell. I'm also going to see Chantal Kreviazuk in Brantford in November. Ozzfest is playing while I'm at Darien Lake but it's too expensive. I'll probably hear the music from anywhere in the park or maybe even my trailer. I only care for Lacuna Coil. Woot woot. I still can't believe I'm missing Foo Fighters though and I heard Tool is coming back to Toronto - I can't wait and I hope they do.

I've never been to a concert before, but may go to one this year or maybe next year. I don't really see the point going to a concert, it's just a huge crowd of people screaming, you'd probably have difficulty even hearing the song.
