Many people today turn to fast food chains for their meals because they're fast, affordable (for the most part), and dare I say tasty.
Fast food restaurants have made efforts to making their product less unhealthy e.g. 0% Trans Fat ...and McDonalds partnering with Oprah's trainer Bob Greene to improve their menu.
...today I had a #1 What-a-burger with Cheese (for those of you not familiar with What-a-burger, it's like McDonald's cheese burger x3) It tasted great but I was feeling a bit queasy about a half hour after I ate lunch. Recently, that seems to be my reaction to burger places (McDonalds, Wendy's, etc..) That's why I don't order cheeseburgers that often anymore. Usually I go for Subway or if I do go to those places, I stick with Chicken.
Not saying I'm a health freak now, it's just yeah... I feel sick whenever I eat a burger. Which is weird because a regular grilled burger at home (outside grill or George Foreman) doesn't make my stomach react negatively in anyway.
Anyway... what about you guys? What are your thoughts on Fast Food Restaurants?

Love them but I have been trying to eat from them less. The food is great when you're looking forward to it and as you're eating. But you do feel very guilty right afterwards because of how fatty and unhealthy they are.

I'll only go to one these days, Culver's. Maybe Wendy's if my friends want to go. Otherwise, McDonald's has caused me issues, hardes and burger king overcooks their stuff.

Burger King used to feel special but they've definitely dropped in quality. Mcdonald's is the best burger place for me. Cheap stuff but usually tasty in moderation.

I wouldn't mind going back, because yes their burgers are decent with a nice breakfast but Super Size Me movie kind of ruined things.

Just checked the Wikipedia entry for it. Not sure I would do what he did for money let alone as an experiment. Sounds awful.

I mostly prefer the KFC and also some of the similar resto where I can have decent fast food. I avoid eating too much of the chinese food as that can be pretty heavy on the stomach too. I like eating some of the simple keto like diet and also some of the time dash diet supported resto which has some of those recipes in them.

I don't go to them very often any more, but I used to eat from McDonald's or Burger King a lot when I was at university . These days, on the rare occasions when I do get fast food, I tend to prefer Five Guys. It's more expensive, but it is nicer - and since I don't go very often, the cost doesn't add up .

I've always wanted to try Five Guys but I haven't come across one as yet. Definitely going to feel guilty afterwards though because of the prices.

Avoid them, it's overpriced food.

Just checked their menu online and it's not too bad, to be honest. Not as cheap as Mcdonald's obviously but it's what I expected.

The average price is around $11 for us as well but it's the prices you expect from the sort of "mid-tier" burger restaurants. Feels like it would be one of those places you go for a treat rather than a regular spot like McDonalds

My issue is it's not really mid-tier, I got local town places that make ten times better burgers for cheaper prices.

Yeah, I would say you guys are pretty lucky with the choice of restaurants you have. I know it's not a proper representation but watching shows like Man Vs Food and Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives makes me want to visit as many American restaurants as possible at some point.

Those shows are good, but keep in mind they are cherry, picking the best out of thousands of lackluster places.
