EasyShare CX7300Type: Digital Brand: Kodak Megapixels: 3.2 Zoom: 3x Advanced digital zoom Memory: 16 MB internal memory (I have a 128MB SD card and another 64MB SD Card) Batteries: AA Size LCD screen: 1.6" Other Features: Color Modes (black and white, Sepia, and color), and exposure modes(auto, night, video). Comments: This camera is an excellent one if you're looking to spend less than $100 for a digital camera. This is one of the very first purchases I made from my first pay check. 4x6 prints look just like 35mm prints. Battery power is excellent. The only downside that I can find with this camera is the fact that it can't record sound. This camera is actually a tiny bit more bulkier than my Sony camera but I think it has a more comfortable grip. ----------------------------------------------- DSC-W7Type: Digital Brand: Sony Megapixels: 7.2 Zoom: Yes, 3x optical + 2x digital zoom Memory: 32 MB internal memory (I also have a 512MB memory stick) Batteries: AA Size LCD screen: 2.5" Other Features: Mulitiple Scene Modes (twilight, twilight portrait, landscape, soft snap, candle and beach), burst mode, and records video clips with sound. Comments: This camera is awesome. The start up time isn't long at all. The LCD screen view is excellent, very clear. Battery power is great. I still have yet to print out pictures from this camera but I'll edit this later and tell you the quality of prints when I get them done. I got it as a gift, it's a bit more pricey than my first digital camera but this camera makes the one I had look like a toy.

Type: Digital Brand: Panasonic Megapixels: unsure Zoom: 12X optical zoom, 4x digital zoom Memory: 256 SD memory card (there's bigger ones out there but I don't have it) Batteries: unsure Size LCD screen: 1.5" Other Features: Built-in speaker and microphone, Flip Animation function, In-camera picture resizing and cropping, Voice annotation, 16 different camera modes (ie. portrait, sports, etc), takes video with sound Comments: I adore this camera ... that's all I can say. The super zoom is awesome, especially if someone's way out in the lake and you're on shore, hah. The flash will make it look like daytime at night.

Type: Digital Point and Shoot Brand: Panasonic Megapixels: 3.1 Zoom: 12X optical zoom, 4x digital zoom Memory: SD Batteries: unsure Size LCD screen: 1.5" Other Features: Built-in speaker and microphone, Flip Animation function, In-camera picture resizing and cropping, Voice annotation, 16 different camera modes (ie. portrait, sports, etc), takes video with sound Comments: I love this camera still, I think it's the best point and shoot out there - well, at the time, now Panasonic has released a similar version with more megapixels (MP doesn't equal greatness but helps you when blowing photos up) and probably more features. Although the shutter priority and manual mode aren't as good as they could be. Exposure goes up to eight seconds (that's probably decent for a P&S actually) but difficult during the day (waterfalls). I still use the P&S over the one I bought for myself (this is the family camera) but when I move out, I'll be asking my pops if I can purchase this off of him or I may simply go out and buy the upgraded version. Type: Digital Point and Shoot Brand: Olympus Megapixels: 7.1 Zoom: 3X optical zoom, I think 4x digital zoom (find it a pointless feature on any camera to be honest ) Memory: XD picture card Batteries: unsure Size LCD screen: 2.5" Other Features: Waterproof up to 10m, shockproof up to 5ft, crushproof up to 200lbs, Built-in speaker and microphone, 21 different camera modes, LED light, takes video with sound (even underwater even if it's not very good sound ) Comments: there's really no limitations on this - you can take it anywhere! I got it in June 2007, the underwater feature just makes this camera a blast. The macro setting isn't that good but Super Macro works pretty well. I'm getting my first DSLR!! It's on order - the Nikon D80 - I'll be sure to write about that when I get it

Type: Digital SLR (single lens reflex) Brand: Canon 350D Megapixels: 8.2 Zoom: Depends on which lens I use. Memory: Compact Flash (CF) Other Features: Fully manual control over aperture and shutter speed, ISO settins, parameters for contrast/saturation etc. Black & White mode. Continuous shooting. Just all the things you generally find in a dslr. Comments: I've owned this camera for nearly a year now, it's got me through my first year studying photography at college. Sturdy little camera, perfect for when you're just starting out. However it's limitations are becoming increasingly obvious to me and I'm considering to upgrading to either a Canon 40D or 30D. Not sure yet. But yeah, I love this little camera!

My Kodak camera seems like a toy now haha I'm still proud of that thing though because it was my first purchase when I first started working at my first job at Ben and Jerry's back in Providence, Rhode Island. Here's my latest: Type: Digital Brand: Samsung WB150F Megapixels: 14.2 MP Zoom: 18X Memory: 32 GB Batteries: Lithium Ion (3.7v, 1000mAh) Size LCD screen: 3" Other Features: Video, image stabilizer, panoramic feature, wireless connectivity Comments: So far out of the three cameras I've owned this one is my favorite. The weight, the size, the features, everything about it is great. The battery life is phenominal. Prints come out GREAT as well. It's a great camera for a quick shot but the quality of the shots is awesome.
