my fingers still use such precision still hold a rhythm still speak in a language I can call my own
yet I cannot find a home.
I only have so much time to spend so much life to live so much love to give
yet I cannot find someone.
this stillness is like water deathly afraid of drowning I never dare venture past the shoreline
( you get too wet once you never want to go back in )
my hands can't open up to ideas or thoughts anything that isn't familiar my hands can't craft anyone but me
my voice still sings with eagerness still hurts the closest victim still touches in a way I can only know
yet I cannot find a soul.
balancing on unclear boundaries still afraid to let go I never dare venture past the inside
( you get too much sun once you never want to go back out )

"( you get too much sun once you never want to go back out )"
It makes me think of a sunburn... But that's my favorite part.
I agree that this is a bit different, but sometimes different is good. I like the format of this, how it's in short stanzas.

this is different from most of your other poems, it stands out, i like it a lot, it seems to take deep breaths
