a/n: In Kandahar, Afghanistan several casualties were killed during a battle between a US aircraft and some people they call "rebels". The madness will never end but I'll never come to accept it. Unfortunately, the ending lacks ... still trying to get it right.
Taliban Casualties
a sky is turning red a sky that can't possibly share the same universe as mine with the blood shed there are tears falling
but no rain.
the ground is getting smaller more bodies for it to fill
a life taken without being given in the first place.
there are hospitals for miles walls scribbled with passages from dying hands with each finger breaking they seem to write a little more than the last
sooner than later a hospital will die it can only take so much life dying at the same time.
a sky is ashing a sky much different than mine with lifts and folds too many angels passing through
it isn't much consolation for hungry hands it isn't much but anything will do.
a sky is breaking a sky is dying falling apart from too much smoke no smile for miles
a sky we share but so much different from my own.

Wow, this is really powerful. I may not completely agree with your views on the topic of war and what not, but you did so well with just pulling this out and describing this so well. "a sky we share but so much different from my own" I really like that idea there. Sometimes I wonder how we are all under the same sky yet we're so different. I think it's like a test of human ability to be able to live like this. Very good
