When I was prince of the pines green needles were neatly sprinkled time around a round rabbit rolling in the shade’s cold clay.
In the shadow’s cool colors the sound of the sun was so subtle as it shone through the wind with such a fickle flicker.
Sighing with the sun I stumbled asleep in the summer’s heavy heaving and the day dreamed with me.

"as it shone through the wind with such a fickle flicker."
--this reminds me of my vacations in Northern Ontario. This whole thing kind of did ... just with the talking of nature and all.

"with such a fickle flicker"
I like the sound of that line. Like if you say it over and over a few times it just sounds so cool.
"and the day dreamed with me"
And I really like that. Seems like a nice idea to write about.

the imagery presented in the last line is almost overwhelming for me. We just got sod put in our yard and I cannot wait til I can go out and lay in it in the heat of the summer days and just relax while the sun dreams with me
