Love at first sight Is it real? I think so Everyone says love is make believe So I must be an invisible force field of love, hope, faith, and openness I'm ready for anything but heartache I'm a walking tomb that no one cares about If they can't see it, they don't believe it And I want to be like Cinderella and Snow White I want their fairytale wedding and love And sometimes I wish I weren't so invisible I wish everyone cared but they all laugh in my face And tell me that it's not the same They hate me So I've heard And I want to be like Belle and Ariel Because they fell in love And everyone loved them No one will ever love m as much as my mother So can I be like Lena and Bianca Fall in love with a great gorgeous man who will love me forever And never leave for they don't want to lose me And I"m going to die lonely With tears frozen to my face My heart made of ice My eyes gouged out My arms rapped around my body Hugging myself

"And I want to be like Belle and Ariel Because they fell in love"
For some reason that part just makes me smile.
"My eyes gouged out My arms rapped around my body Hugging myself"
Is it just me, or does that seem like a rather dark image? Not that it's a bad thing, I kinda like it.
For the most part I liked the idea you had going here. We all wish for our perfect love story... It's not as good as others I've read from you, but it's nice.

It has that interesting twist because you added in some references. This:
"I'm a walking tomb "
--is a brilliant line. It could be used in many types of poetry ... I love the image.

It is an awesome piece that with a few fine touches can be a classic. I love the fairy tale wanne be concept. Everyone wishes for those things though what we wish for rarely ends up being what we truly got or wanted... ya know what I mean? perfect references. and you matched them reasonably well. great job!

Oh but love does not have to be a fantasy. It takes love to get love. Of course never mistake love for lust. References to Belle and Ariel resonates to me mainly because I have 3 year old now who loves Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid.
Thank you for sharing!

"What's love got to do with it?" By Tina Turner, the most honest song ever written in my opinion.
