a/n: I had a blast at the Pearl Jam show last night. I tried to put my emotions into words but again, it's nearly impossible after witnessing such pure brilliance and perfection.
Real Rock Rock Reel (Your Music is a Movie in Motion)
this is when time disappears moments are captured and memories are made every thought I once had wastes away...
but life - . . . it's just beginning now.
I can't see you in the dark light but I can hear your voice eating through a speaker with your . . . more than stunning words it nestles in my ear drum and I sing along
you scream out in perfect tone at perfect timing in the perfect place "come back" and once you're gone - . . . that will be all I speak of
and I seeked shelter on your porch standing like a statue moving to a rhythm just thriving to get splashed down
but -
I didn't get to taste your oceans or your big wave and though I was never touched . . . with one ounce of your sweat I was never dry and glad to be saved.
pearl jam references the two last lines of the first stanza and the second stanza is kind of pondering to "Life Wasted" ... because everything that doesn't matter is wasted but life, definitely is not. Does that make sense? "Come Back" is a song off their new self-titled record and one of my favourites off it. "Gone" is a song off their new self-titled album again. "Porch" is a song off their debut Ten. "Oceans" is a song off Ten. "Big Wave" is a song off their new record.

It's, well, not as up to what you usually post, but I guess I can't blame you for that "I didn't get to taste your oceans or your big wave" I like that.

"and memories are made every thought I once had wastes away..." Those lines had an unimagineable reality to them. I liked it, well put.

You ever read a poem and came to the last stanza and thought "wow that was a perfect ending"? that's exactly what I thought here. Sweetness! I miss ya Laura, wish you'd come back to us!
