Remember September the day when the towers fell. Remember September A day of heart ache and pain. Remember September when evil arose and unity grew.
Remember September and all the people that prayed.
Remember September when you held you family close.
Remember September and how many lives got lost.
Remember September and how important life really is.
Remember September but do not live a life of fear.
Remember September cause Christ’s coming is near. Remember September and God bless the land of the free.
(In Dedication Of The Victims Of September 11th, Their Families, And The Soldiers In Afghanistan)

[glow=purple,2,300] i admire your ability to write about this. i need not say just how much of a tragedy 9/11 really was. i could never really write about it because it's such a sensitive topic for me. thank god i did not lose any one close to me that day but my heart and prayers still goes out to families and friends of those did lose someone close to them and the soldiers, men and women who are now involved with the war. That was beautiful. To me it seems like we're losing that very unity right now. A few years have passed, and people are forgetting what happened. It's hard to not forget though, with the war and everything else going on. You don't see a lot of 9/11 poems, or at least I don't see them a lot anymore. Great job on this.

[glow=black,2,300]that was really moving. I'm not from America, but obviously something like that affected people all over the world, and that poem is a reminder of how I felt that day when I got home. As Sharon said its very hard to write a poem about something like 9/11, but i think you managed really well and did it tastefully and sensitively. well done.[/glow]

I think the best part about this is that it is about remembering the life lost in the tregedy and not about getting revenge. I find that a lot of poetry written on 9/11 is about getting revenge rather than remembering the lives lost and the souls gone from our lives. If we forget about the victims, we lose them to our own memories. Its not about getting revenge, its about keeping their memory alive... thanks for that. I really enjoyed it... Like lockely said.. you captured the reality of the situation "tastefully and sensitively"

I thought this was great. I actually wrote a poem about that day as well, but I think yours is probably far better. I may post mine at a later date.
