I was inspired after I performed in my school's musical and we were having to say good-bye to some cast members, because they were seniors and would be graduating. One girl, who was a lead, started crying, and this popped into my head.
Blackened tears parade down her porcelain cheeks, and over her ruby lips, leaving behind a stream of ash. Her perfectly drawn figure melts away with the onset of this unruly flow. But still she smiles, showing pearly white bits of heaven, through her hypnotizing eyes of blue. The deafening applause begin to fade as the audience files out, and the curtains draw to a close, as she takes her final bow.

Being an actress I know well how it feels to take the final bow of a production. I had to say goodbye to my highschool theatrical days. This poem had more meaning to me than you know. I could see myself up there once again on stage in my purple dress playing the part of Belle Star and then taking my final bow as the curtain fell. Nice imagery. I really enjoyed this piece thank you for sharing it. It is by far my favorite. You put all the images into place in perfect order.

This draws you in with the descriptions. You set this up well, and it makes me want to read more.

the thing is with plays... you work weeks sometimes months even just for one (two, or three) show(s). it's inevitable that you relate to most if not all of the other cast members and when it's time for the end of the last show you just can't help but feel that happy/sad emotion.
i liked how you ended this piece.

I know the feeling of saying goodbye after a show. It's something that makes you want to cry, but rejoice over because you're moving on all at the same time.

I'm in my school's musical now, and it's going to end next week. It's going to be sad because my boyfriend and I recently got together, and he's a grade younger than me so I only really see him after school and durring the play practices, but I'm moving to high school next year so we wont see eachother at all really until my Sophmore year.
This almost made me cry, to tell you the truth, it's very good.

Wow, this is really nice. It portrays the emotions of an actress in her final act very well.

Very nice, I've seen similar things used for poetic people in shows who are at their end.
