a/n: this may offend some people, possibly ... I'm not sure how religious people take this kind of stuff. ". . ." are meant to be tabs.
God & Me
no priest could tame these hands
always wielding a hammer -
fingers for nails
and they can call evil upon it
only looking to Jesus
what a saviour -
Oh what a saviour he was
a butchered liar -
unwillingness to share thoughts
cooperative with being a healer
he was envious of himself
as a father and a mother
a keeper of stolen souls - believers
he put the rock to stone and scribbled
. . . Life is a lonely mistake
. . . if taken for granted -
And oh heavenly father
preach your deeds to others
roam aimlessly inside a head
naive and jealous free
I'll carve all your scripts
my blood will be clots of letters
that spell only this
. . . Heaven - a fairytale
. . . Hell - a lie
. . . we don't live for love
. . . or sin to die
but a disbeliever is a human
one of god's children
just being tested by a cloud
see which shape makes a face
There,
I see God
in the clouds above my head
no smile and smells of whiskey
a portion of aspirin still weak in his hands
and two waitresses by his bed
There -
I see God
and there, there, there
he must be special to be everywhere
and I wish to be closer
give me a sign -
let god or Jesus, or the Virgin Mary
and please, oh please
rope your fingers around my waist
singe my chest with your lustful breath
and spread my legs
Expose my petals
. . . you are the Water
. . . you are the Air
. . . you are the gardener
. . . let's plant some seeds here
( just - )
Water me.
Let's see who's God
or a "Jesus Christ"
'cause I can scream louder than you know
I can over inflate my lungs
and
. . . e x p l o d e
and let's see who I am
giving birth
. . . not a virgin
if I'm your child
what does that make you?
Only wanted the truth
received false answers
unmarried lettered blood
my time is marked
So give me a piece of you to believe in
God - my chillingless spark
give me one reason to give this up
and fall to my knees
for I will not believe in you
if you will not believe in me.
