When you draw, do you have an image in your mind first?

For some people, they already know WHAT they want to draw & some have even dreamed about it. Then they put pen to paper with the details. For others, they don't know what it will be until they just start.

Which type are you? If the image is in your mind at first, how accurate did it come out on paper? Were you satisfied with the result?

I don't draw as much anymore but when I was younger, I definitely had some idea of what I wanted the final piece to look like. Of course, it's a bit hard to sometimes accurately take what you have in your mind and put it on paper.
