In person or via webcam, what do you do to get ready for a job interview that could change your life?

I always did well on interviews and would go in super confident. So for me it would always be in person. I would just wing it with no preparation at all.

Just making sure that I'm prepared as much as I can be for any questions that might come up. Nothing worse than not knowing the answer to a pretty basic question

I would always be nervous and always hating putting on a suit, but I think I did well on most besides one that was a panel interview, that sucked.

What's a panel interview exactly? One where you have multiple people from the workplace interviewing you at the same time?

Yep. It was for a local school technology job and several IT people were sitting in on it, all asking me different questions and what not. Added more to the pressure.

Yeah, not something I would have liked either. I only had two people at my job interview, one person from HR and the team leader for my position.

For my current job, I interviewed with my boss and the boss above him at the same time. Only reason due to my boss working there for a month at the time

An advice that I came across that makes total sense to me, I haven't had a chance to apply it yet... interview for jobs that you don't want so you can practice your interviewing and get a feel for the whole process that way when your 'dream' or ideal job comes around you aren't as nervous. Seek the interviewers' feedback and genuinely request what areas you can improve in to make you more of an ideal candidate. You'll have more confidence going in because the process will feel familiar and you can apply what you learn.

Kinda go through what I want and what I can offer, set my low bar and my asking price and hope for the best. Usually I also research the company to see how it is and what I can get from them.
