We look towards the sky with questions of why. Why do our hopes and dreams pass us by? An illusion is just an ideal that reality will never reach. Just as our dreams may never become the truth that we will ever seek. To break free from our dreams is to face the world. To see it as it is, and not how we believe it to be. Though, we are unable to accept what truly is, so we retreat into our worlds; unique and ever changing to the whims of our mind. And we believe one day the world will become an illusion and break free from the the reality which holds us prisoner.

That wasn't bad at all. I agree with this. Unfortunately, there are individuals out there that try to make our world fit into their ideal reality without consideration of others and how they think it should be. The only thing I wasn't too crazy about was the structure. However, that could just me and how I expect poems to be presented. Thanks for sharing this with us!

Dude chrono, I loved the poem and how the non-conformity of the structure works. In like paragraph form. Tres bien.

Thanks for the comments. I decided to make a second version of this poem which views reality from a different perspective. While the first version tells one reality is something which one avoids to accept, the second version states it is of a different manner. That being, reality is of a status which one is unable to reach. This is because one only accepts what one believes to be true through teachings or experiences in one's life. The second version goes on to further state that due to the nature of the world which one lives in, one is unable to break free from the constraints of axioms which are taken as law thus putting one at the mercy of only what people believe to be possibilities. Even though both poems take different perspective of what reality is, they both share a common point of view; that the true absolute reality of the world is something beyond one's grasp. Whether it be due to one's reluctance to it, or due to one's inability to understand the concept that it may be something other than what one is told to believe. Version 1 We look towards the sky with questions of why.
Version 2 We look towards the sky with questions of why. Why does reality pass us by? The truth is just an illusion which we have been taught to believe. Just as our minds fail to comprehend the actuality in the the dreams we live to seek. To break free from axioms is to accept the world. To see it how it can be, and not how we have been guided to believe. Though, we are unable to accept impossibilities, so we retreat into the established world of laws and lies; never changing to the whims of our mind. And we beguile ourselves saying one day we will be able to see reality as it truly is and break free from the falsities which hold us prisoner.
