Do you guys add your coworkers to social media? How about posting things that might be considered controversial or someone you work with might find offensive.
I have a few work people I've added to my social media, mostly people from different departments. I don't post anymore and I rarely get on, but I do see people posting thing occasionally that would make me cringe.
I actually deleted a coworker recently and blocked another one so he could never add me.
What are your personal policies regarding social media and work family?

Just on LinkedIn. I wouldn't bother adding them on other social media sites unless I was extremely close to them.

When I worked I added a few co-workers and I'm still friends with them years later. I don't post things that I'd be afraid that they'd see but I do "like" and laugh at some things that they might cringe over.

I add everyone I regularly converse with if I know they're on the same platform. I tend to mute folks that post things I don't care to see/read. I try to help out the algorithm by actively liking and replying to posts I do like.

I've added a few on LinkedIn, it's interesting to keep tabs on them or know they are interested in me.

I do always find it interesting when LinkedIn lets us know when someone looks at our profile. Not too random when you just connect with them but slightly funny after a little while.

I started using facebook when I began publishing on Hubpages. My first facebook friends were my co-writers on hubpages. Later, I started connecting with my friends and faamily on facebook. I began using Twitter when my editor asked to connect with him on Twitter. Curretly, I use half a dozen social sites for work related communication as well as personal communication.

It really depends. I have a few co-workers on social media, but as I'm in an HR management position, I have to be careful. I don't post anything NSFW on any of my pages, but I have to make sure things are professional even outside of work.

Yeah, heard some horror stories of people being fired for social media posts. Why I use a username that can't be tied back to me in real life.

Hopefully they are on their best behaviour as well if they have you on social media lol

Depends on how close to them I am. Sometimes I may add them but most of the time I don't even give out my cell phone number.
