Have you ever went out to eat with co-workers or both put in money to get food delivered to your workplace?

My coworker and I get food together all the time. She subscribes to Grub-Hub so we utilize that quite a bit. We do go out to dinner or get lunch on our days off occasionally, but with everyone else I keep personal life separated from professional life. Regarding paying, we rotate, if she pays one week, I pay the next. We call our work days together, Thunder Thigh Thursday and Fat Fridays lol.

Since I've been working from home ever since I started at my current place, I haven't had a chance to. But it would be nice to do it from time to time when I get back to the office.

One of my closest groups of friends are actually a group of co-workers from a job I worked just out of college. We worked at a video rental place that closed at midnight. One night, someone suggested we go out for drinks after close and we’ve all been friends for nearly 10 years now. I’m actually traveling back home next month to see two of them get married.

Sometimes at night people at my work all chip in to get some big meals delivered, it's pretty nice.

The only times I don't like pitching in with my coworkers is when we're talking pizza. I can never seem to eat my money's worth.

It's more of the community thought than getting your money's worth.

I prefer potlucks. Regardless if folks cook the food or just bring store bought food, I feel like everyone wins with a variety of selection.

I remember the potlucks at my first job, it always got so crazy we had food for weeks.

Occasionally. We always used to go out to eat after our quarterly meetings - but, that hasn't happened since the start of the pandemic. Also, there's the Christmas meals, where we can all bring our partners. I went alone for most of them - but I brought my girlfriend along to this year's !
