Something I always read in personal finance books and even regular advice from superiors that I should invest young so as soon as I realized how to do this I began. I now personally invest in stocks and ETFs $400 every two weeks.
Do you invest?

Lol, like I have any money to do so, I did finally get something going with my current company for 401k. I might look into something when I get closer to my 40s, which is ten years from now.

Around £200-300 every month into a Stocks and Shares ISA which means that everything I make in it is tax-free. I only recently started so it's nothing major but hoping to have a good amount in a couple of years.

I should learn more about stocks or something, I'm sure there is something I can safely put money into.

I wouldn't think it be that easy.

Those companies will always grow and they're very safe to back. But you do have to invest with a long term goal. If you want to make a quick buck, it won't be easy.

so it looks like I have to spend $160 for each stock for apple? So I would have to spend 480 to get three pieces of stock and wait until it grows to make money?

We started making investments in our mid 20s and it was good advice we got to start so young. We also inherited some of my husband's mother's investments and that was nice to have as well but we'll never get rich off of it.
Some things that people aren't aware of is that nursing homes are not the best place to be if you want really good medical care. There are assisted living homes that are far better in quality care except they cost thousands of dollars a month to live there.

$160 is the all time high for the stock as well. If that's a price that you're comfortable with, go for it. I bought it at $143 so I have a 13% return already. Personally, I'll have some money set aside for when it drops down to $150 (if it ever drops that low again).

But are you gaining more than the difference? Like if you cash in do you get just the $17 increase?

If I sold right now, my profit would be £42.53 so yeah, around $17 profit each. Some of that £42.53 profit is due to the currency exchange rate as well (around £4/$5.38). But Apple for me is a long term stock so I'll be keeping it for a minimum of 5-10 years.

That means I would have to buy a lot and hope the price quadruples for me to make any profit, even in the long run.

Yeah, as with most things, it's not just an extremely easy way to make money. You do have to invest quite a bit if you want good returns. That's why most people tend to invest a bit every month so that their portfolio slowly grows over the years.

What a pain, maybe I can roll my luck and marry into money

I have no such luck, sadly. Though I do need to look more into investments in the coming years.

The market took a bit of a hit this week so keep an eye out on it next week. There might be a few stocks that are a good investment. Microsoft is almost $25 down from its all-time high

No, I don't. I just haven't been able to get into it... just doesn't seem to be worth the hassle of worrying about my investments going wrong, TBH.

Market is down so perfect time to invest in some of the big boys right now.

What cryptocurrencies have you invested in? It's something I would love to do but I just know the moment I invest, BTC will crash badly lol.

I have invested in stock market, gold, property as well as cryptocurrencies. Even though I understood the importance of investment, early on, I did not start investing until I was 30. In order to invest, you need money. I did not have any money to invest before I was 30. Even today, I do not much to invest in. I am building my investment portfolio little by little.
