Through these eyes of mine I see Great wonders all around me Great valleys and a white covered mountain Blue waters and a yellow setting sun All of these things I see around me Are a sight to see My breath is taken away As a new beauty emerges through Everywhere lit by the moon light The land looks peaceful and innocent As I dance about joyfully I wonder if I could stay forever In this place of peace instead a place of war
Through these eyes of mine I see Great wonders all around me A sky so blue and a ground so green A tree of fruit and a book to read All of these things I see around me Are things I love to see Day never turns to night as I do not tire Each time I finish a book, a new one appears Every book is as adventurous as the last This place I have come to has a true serene feel I wonder if I could stay forever In this place of peace instead a place of war
Through these eyes of mine I see Great wonders all around me Farm houses and fields left and right Friendly people and smiling faces All of these things I see around me Are a life style I would love Day in and day out Is a suprise within itself There is a new face each day And a new story each hour This place I came to see is my dream I wonder if I could stay forever In this place of peace instead a place of war

Thank you. This poem was inspired by going to my neighbors church. I've had a lot of people say they like the imagery. Thanks.
