I know some parts of the world call them "CVs" I haven't updated my resume since I got my current job. (Been at the same company for almost 6 years now). It's hard to believe! I see people advise that you should always have your resume updated just in case an opportunity comes along and you need to quickly demonstrate your work history.
When was the last time you modified your resume?

I was always told to make sure to keep my CV updated because you tend to forget your responsibilities at your current workplace. It helps make your CV look a lot better if you keep it updated since it will contain a list of everything you do. I've tried to do that as much as possible.

I used to be terrible at keeping mine up to date, but now that I work in HR and personnel management, I've realized just how important it is. I sort through so many applicants on a daily basis that having an updated resume attached is a quick indicator for me to delve deeper into a candidate. It shows more dedication and a greater level of motivation vs the applicants who submit a limited resume or no resume at all.

I haven't updated it with my current job, I really don't plan on leaving it any time soon so who knows if I ever update it again.

An opportunity just came up where I could possibly make 10-20k more a year. ...and I haven't updated my resume for almost 6 years. I'm scrambling to put it together now. If you haven't already updated your resume, I highly recommend it.

No, I don't... I haven't updated it in eight years (i.e. since I got my current job). TBH, apart from the work I've done there, there's not a whole lot to add to it!

If you haven't already updated your resume, I highly recommend it. Yeah, I need to jump back on it and update it with my latest work and my latest Uni results. I hope that opportunity works out and you get it!

I ended up not pursuing it but I did update my resume. I may still give it a go I just never like the feeling of stepping backwards which is essentially what the opportunity would ask for, the extra 10-20k is also not guaranteed as it's more commissioned based.

Yeah, there are a lot of important things to consider before moving especially if you've been with a particular company for a long time. Like you, if the extra amount was based on commission, I would have second thoughts about it too.

I haven't updated mine in awhile. Nothing too much to note for it anyways, other than long term experience in food prep and cooking experience, with raw and pre packaged food.

I'm a homemaker now so there isn't much to update to mine after I left my last job 5 years ago. I think what I probably should do to it is take a fresh look at it and see how I can modernize it by using better terminology and descriptions for what my responsibilities were. I learned while interviewing people that too many use the word "proficient". I'll never use that term again LOL

Depends on who might be looking at your CV I guess. Some companies just get a bot to traverse through the hundreds of CVs they get sent so certain keywords like "proficient" might help you with the bot.
