I have been playing games on my PC's for years now. However, it is starting to get old because of software issues. It seems like every single time a game comes out on PC that interests me, then I end up having to upgrade something on my computer just to be able to play it. Sometimes you will buy a $50 PC game and then turn around and spend another $100 on a graphics card to be able to run it. It is starting to get extremely expensive and annoying. So here lately I have just stuck to only buying games for my consoles. Let me tell you, it is nice to be able to go into a store and just grab a game and be able to take it right home and play it and not have to worry about anything else. What is everyone else's take on this? Is it starting to annoy you as well?

It's so hard to run the latest computer games unless you have a gaming pc. I can't afford anything like that so I'm stuck.

I can imagine the frustration you're having. That's the thing with technology...there are always going to be something better every year. My husband is working on his "ultimate gaming pc" we've already decided that what he puts in right now is probably going to be obsolete in 5 years lol so it's best we budget for it now.

I think after certain point of time, we all get pretty much tired of many physical and mental things. And it kind of makes you worry about your health. And in that context you have to understand that PC gaming is on same type. Like any other thing that we do in routine but eventually the burnout kicks in and nothing much about that we can do. What we can do however is take up another hobby and visit gaming randomly.

I dislike that too. Biggest thing that would solve most gaming issues, is getting a computer built with the best hardware possible at this moment, to prevent having to upgrade in the near future. Most of your top of the line hardware 5 years ago, is still above the recommended hardware to run most games anyways.

I don't blame you, an endless ocean of games with most being generic copies. Consoles may not be strong, but they have the best software.

Yeah, I have a gaming PC and do occasionally play on it, but honestly, it is just so much more convenient and cost-effective to play on my consoles. I have a pretty solid gaming rig, so I don't really need to update right away, but my PS5 is far more powerful at the moment anyway. Plus, it is far more comfortable playing consoles and just lounging in bed to play instead of at my desk.
