So I recently acquired a Canon EOS 700D (Rebel T5i in US), and it's my first DSLR camera. I mainly got it just because I'm a bit of a tech freak and love collecting pictures of stuff in general (not just photos). I also want to go travelling as well so preparing myself with a proper camera in anticipation for that. :v Anyway, I think I got a fairly good deal for it. Camera was originally on sale for $850AUD with the Twin Lens Kit ($1000RRP iirc), and at the time Canon were offering $150 cashback on purchases of them, which effectively means I paid $700 for it. That was cheaper than the second hand packs of the model below it (650D) which I was looking at originally, so I'm pretty satisfied with that. Example of the picture quality: So, other owners of said camera (or similar ones), what are the sorts of things I should look out for? Do you think it was a good deal, y/n?

That sounds like it was a wonderful deal! I've got my eyes set on the DSLR.. Canon Rebel SL1 myself.
