Personally I've got 8 credit cards under my name. I believe in having great credit. It's pretty amazing what you find you can afford when you have good credit and good financial management.
How many credit cards do you have?

I have 2. I usually avoid taking out more credit, since my student loans are crushing enough.

I only have the one. Not that I actually use it. It's not good if you can't pay it back, so I'd rather stick to a debit card.

We don't have any. Don't care for them. Only have a debit card which we rarely use. When my husband & I went to buy our first house 20 some years ago, we weren't approved for the loan even though we had a good chunk of money to put down (we both saved a lot). So we had to get a credit card, put stuff on it, moved to a trailer for a few months to pay "rent" to prove to them that we could afford it. Irony. I'm Dutch & while we are not penny-pinchers, we are known to be stubborn & quite frugal. I learned early on to pay cash. It's too easy to go over a budget.

How many credit cards do you have? Are you serious? That's a huge no. of credit cards. I only have one, and it works well for me. I suppose you are using different credit cards from different banks/finance companies, to increase your limit. Right? As you mentioned, having higher no. of credit cards gives a good credit score. Is that right? I never knew of this. Generally, I use my debit card instead of credit card. Credit cards are not yet popular here in our place. 😊

Just the two for me. I don't really use either of them to buy things I can't afford. Since credit history is extremely important, I got them both to improve my credit score. I always just buy things I know I can afford and pay the balance off straight away when it's due.

I got rid of mine years ago and glad of it. My home is 100% mortgage free, my vehicles are all paid for and I have zero debt. I have 3 big fat pensions coming in every month and have $$$ in the bank. No financial worries at all.

I still have 2. I've had a few others over the years, but ended up cancelling them and now stick with my two primary cards.

I currently do not have any. I just have standard debit cards for the banks I have accounts with, at the moment. If I ever get into getting a credit card, I prefer to use the "use your own cash as a credit line," so I know essentially who I am paying back, if I ever pay credit for anything.

Once I get my credit score high enough I was told by my bank last week that my credit score is 853. It's annoying how different places give out different scores (in the UK anyway). Are credit scores important in the US? Over here, it's just an indication of how good your credit history is. Banks and retailers tend to care about your credit history more than your score.

Not sure how much different, I know my score is near max which will help in the near future.

I only have my debit card that I use. Never really liked credit cards... I know they have their uses, especially for credit scores, but I don't really like using them if I can help it.
