Personally, I went with the PS4. It was more cost effective and I don't need, nor do I really want, all of the frilly extras of the XBone. I will probably pick up the XBone down the line once the price has dropped, but in every previous generation, I've started with Sony and grabbed Microsoft later. This time is no different. Plus, most of the exclusives I was really interested in this round are for the PS4.
I like it so far. I've stayed up far too late these past two nights playing first Knack and then CoD: Ghosts.

Honestly, I've barely gotten to play it as I've been working 7 days a week and am in the beginning stages of a new relationship (yay!). I did pick up LEGO Marvel Super Heroes on Black Friday and that one is quite fun. I'm certainly enjoying the system, I just haven't really had a chance to fully test all of it's features. I'll definitely let you know when I do. Hopefully after the holidays.

We bought the XBOX One yesterday...it's pretty awesome. We still plan on buying the PS4 when it's available but we decided to go ahead and pull the trigger and get the XBone for my husband's room lol So far we've just been renting games but I'm 99% sure we're going to Best Buy tonight to buy Call of Duty Ghosts despite the glitchy graphics simply because Best Buy has that bundle where you can basically purchase the game for $30. I'm pretty sure they will fix all the glitchiness with the new software update, it's just a little annoying right now as you can see in this video. We DID rent LEGO Marvel Super Heroes and I must say that is one incredibly cute game lol I don't think I would pay retail price for it myself but the graphics is pretty awesome and I could help the feeling I got while playing how I wanted to play with LEGOS again lol

I'm strongly leaning towards the Xbox One. However, I'm waiting to see how game development fairs for both before making a final choice. In the meantime, I'll continue to save for a Wii U.

I prefer the PS4. For the reasons of it being a cheaper system, with about the same capabilities as the Xbox. Some people even say it has better specs than the Xbox.

Technically, the PS4 is more powerful than the XBone. Graphics are sharper on the PS4 than the XBone because Playstation plays natively in 1080p and the Xbox games play natively in 720p and are up-coded to show in 1080p on the system. The main reason XBone is more expensive is because of the packaged-in Kinect. Otherwise, the specs are pretty similar and both are awesome systems. Ultimately, it comes down to how much you want to spend and which exclusives you're more excited for.

I've stuck with Playstation throughout the console generations. This time I was considering a switch but Microsoft geared the XBox towards an 'entertainment console' more than a gaming system. I just want to play games, so I stuck with PS4.

I purchased the PS4 on day one and very happy I did. Although there aren't many great games out yet, I think Sony is gonna have a good selection by the end of the year

When I decide to upgrade I plan on getting the Xbox One, I think. Right now my Xbox 360 is doing to trick and most of the games I would buy are coming out for both the 360 and One, so I need no reason to upgrade yet. I don't really care about 720p vs. 1080p, the difference isn't that noticeable to me. Plus most of the people I play with plan on upgrading to the Xbox One, and that was one of the reasons I originally got an Xbox 360 over the PS3.

I don't have either yet as my PS3 still works perfectly fine for me. However when it breaks i'll stick with Playstation and get the PS4 as my gamer friends have stuck to the PS4, so it makes much more sense to me to do the same.

I watched E3 when both were announced, and from that point forward I will always choose the PS4 over the Xbox One. Better hardware, better games, and better price.

My friend and I were going to buy the Playstation 4 because we felt that the Xbox One was geared more toward social media and the community. Due to some complications on his end, he ended up purchasing the Xbox One (which he regrets) and so I was forced to get one as well.
I don't mind the Xbox One, I just don't like the wait time for the good games coming out this fall.

So far the launch titles for either haven't really blown me away.

I had a Xbox 360 but my friends and I all moved to the PS4 because the Xbox One seemed like a mess when it was announced/launched. It definitely got better but by then, Microsoft had already lost us, unfortunately. PlayStation will always be my main console although I do use a Series X as well for some of their exclusives.

I've managed to get my hands on a PS5 for this generation and I am loving it. I have a gaming PC, so at this point, the Xbox Series X just isn't worth it for me. Any of the exclusive (of which there are sadly few), I can play on my PC. I do plan on getting the Series X down the line as I've always owned all the major consoles. I have the PS4 Pro, Xbox One S, and Nintendo Switch from last generation.

We now have the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch (also from the last generation). I don't think I will be picking up the PS5 or Xbox Series X anytime soon unless we come across a spectacular trade in deal or something. Maybe if we had more free time but we barely play any games as it is.
