Attempting to get back in the swing of things. It has been a ridiculously long time.
I left pieces behind in you when legs tangled in bed sheets hearts hammering tandem rhythms
My soul ached at the touch of skin on skin, caramel and ivory You perfectly unblemished - Me pieced together like patchwork, your fingers mounting the needle mending every tear that dripped along the path of my cheeks
The hummingbird in my chest just fluttered as your wheels kept spinning away in a counter-clockwise direction
Running wildly on fumes, I’m still lost to delirium -
Your fragrant coat shines in the moon while I crisp in the sunlight
We never were in sync

The hummingbird in my chest just fluttered as your wheels kept spinning away in a counter-clockwise direction This part just stood out for me... The visualization that hit me with just these few words! Lines like these remind me why I enjoy reading others' original works... I can feel my creativity wheel start to move . Thank you

Yay! Glad I got your creative wheels turning. I know my own are pretty darn rusty so Thanks for the comment Sharon.

You know that kind of reminded me of Sally from Nightmare before Christmas, stitched together. Like Sharon said, I got an image in my head and even almost felt it a little myself lol
