Carnival
prickly prisms left whirring off center in sky dresses made faded and taut altogether dusty with fine cool grains keeping low watch with sticky footsteps
wide paper gallows kept by keen jesters juggling language with the tips of canes one eye covered by sagacious satisfaction worn neatly across their broad lips
here time becomes a slender wrinkle and space an extensive kaleidoscope constructed ferociously by a collapsing star held fast by sharp lightning and grey fire

very interesting read, as I was reading it I pictured a carnival in my mind so the imagery you provided worked quite well, my favorite part was the where you were talking about the jesters, that entire stanza was amazingly well written, the entire poem was, but esp. that part, nicely done ~Jessica~

If only I had the vocabulary you possess. Ah.
"wide paper gallows kept by keen jesters juggling language with the tips of canes one eye covered by sagacious satisfaction worn neatly across their broad lips"
--I loved this whole description on the joker kind. God their lips are freaky. The word "sagacious" always reminds me of Resident Evil 4 ... unless you play the game, you wouldn't know why though.
You know carnivals scare me ... strange people operating machines ... holding your life in their hands - it just makes me feel uneasy.
