So, I went to see my doctor on May 6th for a routine check up. We had discussed the option of me getting induced if my son wasn't born by the due date which was May 11th. He asked me if the baby was moving and I told him not as much. He sent me to the hospital to get a stress test done...what they did was hook me up to the contraction monitor to see how often he moved, I passed that part, but I had to go back to the hospital at 3:15 pm. So, I go back to the hospital for an ultrasound which was the second part of the stress test. I get down to the room and the only movement was when they put the jelly on my tummy after that nothing...I failed that part. I was told to go to the labor and delivery floor. I get up there only to find the nurses waiting for me. I had to change into a gown, then get prepped for a c-section. I was scared when I heard that I had to get an ultrasound done. My doctor came in and told me that he could induce labor and wait for the meds to kick in and have to do an emergency c-section later or he could go on and do the c-section. I found out that it would be better for me to just go along with the c-section. I got to the operating room and they numbed me up really good and started with the cutting... thankfully my fiance was in there with me. I heard my doctor say that my son was wrapped up in the umbillical cord. His arm and torso was wrapped and he was still trying to wrap himself up more. I then heard my son cry and I asked my fiance if he was ok and he jumped up and told me that he was fine. I then started crying. After the nurses cleaned him up a bit they let my fiance bring him over to me so that I could see him, I cried even more. I was so happy to see my son. The doctor then started stitching me up and they took me back to my room where everyone waited for me. I then got to hold my son Cruze Lee Riley for the first time. The whole point of the c-section was to keep my sons life and my life out of danger. Now we are at home. He is 10 days old today and doing much better now. He is already growing and it is happening way to fast.
P.S.. For those who didn't catch on he was born on May 6th. The operation started at 5:15 pm and he was born at 5:49 pm.
