This is another 60 second piece inspired by oneword. The word was Secluded
Hidden in an alcove, just out of your site, sketchbook resting upon my knees, just waiting for the charcoal to caress its empty pages, with rough sketches, harsh lines, penciled confessions. Secluded wishes fly from the fingertips, shattered hearts paint with wisdom. Hidden in an alcove. . .
I just can't seem to write lately. Wouldn't be surprised if stress had something to do with it. Damned writer's block sure doesn't help things

I can't seem to write much lately either. This line: " harsh lines, penciled confessions" --I really, really liked because I adore the word "harsh" firstly, and secondly, "penciled confessions" is just so original and interesting. I'm loving the concept of this

I like this. It's nice for writing in 60 seconds. I can never seem to do anything on oneword. I always end up taking the word, and sitting for half an hour trying to come up with something. But this turned out nice.

it did turn out well. i love how you were able to start it and end it with alcove mentioned. oneword is definitely a great tool to use when one is experiencing writer's block. it's quite interesting to see the difference responses/views of a word given as well.
