A distant warmth - an empty sigh everything and nothing, at the very same time.
A cool feeling - in the blazing night a glare in the darkness the sting of the silent light.
Crushed with emptiness can't you see we're suffocating? Let me go, I will stay.

Great to see you writing again, Sharon. It's been forever since you've posted any poetry. There's something about this that I like, but I can't quite describe what it is. I like the final line - "Let me go, I will stay". I like the contradiction there. You don't often think of staying and letting go at the same time. Great job, Sharon.
