a/n: this may be confusing and crappy. No, I will not say crappy. It's just strange and maybe not as well written as I planned to make my thoughts. Comments appreciated, loved, and welcomed.
Pieces of You
Shredded pieces of the moon for cheese, I was out to lunch for pizza and I stumbled
Tripped on a horse shoe left for show on a sunless day when it was covered in snow
And I ate the dirt because she kicked me so far into it, I knew of nothing that day
But love, love, love. Love, love, love gone wrong.
And I could swing forward in sing song ways to style your soul to shape my body
But you could never venture into the darkness and light the way like me
It was freezing but it was pretty, the crowded icicles dying to sweat to a sun’s heat
But there was no sun for us. There was nothing but love, love, love.
Love, love, love gone wrong.
Wilted like the rose under the beastly lights; I was out strolling maybe patrolling
Just looking for a place to sit to see if I could see you pass me by
It was like Sundays when we used to walk to church and sing of nothing but Devil songs
You liked it when I smiled, my teeth were a little crooked, my grin was fascinating
Could you bounce upon my legs one more time, could you bounce upon my lips
Could you bounce upon my soul and shift your hands into my holes and fill them
Could you draw static lines so we could shock ourselves on our love, love, love
But it was nothing but love, love, love. Love, love, love gone wrong.
Our bed time was five after three because we used to hide under the covers and smile
Who could burn the sheets first with a sideways glance, with an upwards flash
I used to wish upon you because you were the sky and you would wish upon me because I was the stars
and it was nothing but love, love, love. Love, love, love gone wrong.
We were nothing but love.
