Would you give up your pinky if it guaranteed an extension of 15 years to your life?
If yes, why?
If no, why not?

It really depends on the circumstances. First of all, I would not want to give up my pinky if that means I would get to spend another 15 years in a nursing home. That is not what I think of living life as. But let's say in those 15 year they develop means to restore my pinky and my youth, it might be worth it, but then it comes done to the question of where the significance of life comes from. From my point of view, life is valuable because it is finite. So I guess in the end it would be hard to say. The way things are now I would most likely say no. I would rather live the life I have than give my soul, a pinky, or my left liver for that matter to live in a lower quality of life.
Now, there are always the exceptions to the rule. Lets say I was about to be shot, I would give up my pinky to live longer. Let's say my pinky became infected and the only way to keep my life would be to amputate, hey, I would give up my pinky through magical means, skip the thrill of the surgery, and get another 15 years of life out of the whole ordeal. What a bargain!
