"As I would not be the slave, I would not be the master." -Abraham Lincoln.
Yeah, I'm into history and I think that this quote can be used today, but applied to different things because it makes you see that you shouldn't be the one controling the misery, if you wouldn't go through the misery yourself. I hope that made sense. Kinda goes along with, "Do unto others as they would do unto you"

I have a couple:
"There are as many nights as days, and the one is just as long as the other in the year's course. Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word 'happy' would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness." -Carl Jung (this is my signiture)
"Life is a succession of moments. To live each one is to succeed." -Corita Kent
"To live is so startling it leaves little time for anything else." - Emily Dikinson (it wouldn't let me spell it correctly, it kept replacing the first part with "thingy")
"True wisdom is in knowing you know nothing" - Socrates
"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do." - Eleanor Roosevelt

Here are a few more:
"To the well organized mind, death is but the next great adventure" - Albus Dumbledore
"It is our choices that show who we truly are, far more than our abilities." - ad-libbed from the wise and aging Albus Dumbledore, though if you really want to get technical, it was JK Rowling who the credit for these quotations really belongs, as she is the woman behind the long silver beard and half-moon spectacles.
"Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans." - John Lennon
"It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

He said this during his sermon on Sunday and it just really stuck out to me, so I decided to share it.

I have a couple:
"A million words wouldn't bring you back, I know, because I've tried. A million tears wouldn't bring you back, I know because I've cried" - Anonymous
"Baby, let me tell you something. You are the greatest woman I have ever met... You are intelligent and merciful. Those two things often don't go together." - Vivian Baxter
"No one is going to make you talk. Possibly no one can. but bear in mind, language is a man's way of communicating with his fellow man and it's language alone which seperates him from the lower animals. You grandmother says you like to read a lot, every chance you get. That's good, but not good enough. Words mean more thatn what is set down on paper. It takes the human voice to infuse them with shades of deeper meaning" - Bertha Flowers
