...for some reason that question doesn't sound quite right - like it's grammatically incorrect or something, anyways...
I've got a savings and checkings account in both Bank of America and Washington Mutual.
People ask me why do I have two different banks. My reason is (though some still don't understand it) it's my way of spreading out my money - makes it harder to spend. I am actually considering opening another one - just haven't decided which bank to go to yet.
For every pay check I save $500 (that's twice every month).
So what are your saving habits? Where do you bank?

I have accounts at HSBC and Cornerstone Federal Credit Union.
I have two accounts for the same reasons you do. Although, I only wish I could save $500 a paycheck. I dont even make that much in a month at my job, but then again, I am only a student employee. I try to save at least half of every check, which usually ends up only being about $75 or so, because I need the other half for things like gas and living expenses. Plus, whatever I dont save has to last me for two weeks before I get paid again. So yeah, basically I am broke....plain and simple.

I can honestly say I've never heard of those banks before.
Well when the time comes you'll probably make triple what I make now because you're a full time student and all you're going through now will pay off in the end. It's hard working a full time job and going to school but I think it's even harder going to school full-time and trying to generate income at the same time. School, work, bills... makes you want to seek more from life some times yeah?

I'm not surprised you haven't heard of Cornerstone (its fairly local), but you've honestly never heard of HSBC - its the world's bank, afterall......they have branches in nearly every country in the world, which was nice when I went over to Europe. Their hedquarters is in like Hong Kong or something, but they are a pretty big branch.
Yeah......school, work, bills = insane

M&T of course. They're the only bank that I have both at school (In Buffalo) and at home (Baltimore).

NotSo...which college in Buffalo do you go to? UB, Buff State, D'Youville, Daemon, or one of the others? I'm from that area.

... i have three ... checking and savings at a local credit union and Washington Mutual and Bank of America oddly enough. I have three for the same reason, the local for my mom and uncle who deposit money occasionally for the fun of donating money to my cause... and the other two because it spreads the money around and makes it easier to save...
