I know personally, I avoid swearing (cussing, cursing, etc) not because I think that I'm "not allowed to" but because I simply choose not to express myself that way. Anyway, just wondering where you all stand on this subject. Do you swear? When is it ok to swear?

I swear all the time. I can't help it, my dad and my uncle swore a lot and I kind of grew up like that. I also get frustrated playing video games and that results in swearing. I think it's fine ... the only time I don't think it's okay is when it's meant to seriously hurt someone. I really don't mind the words.

I swear when I want to make a point, basically, or when I'm angry. I don't use the f-word in the middle of a sentence for no reason when I'm in a good mood. Usually I swear under my breath. But yeah, I'm not against swearing in general, when used properly, but if people just swearing for the sake of swearing, it degrades the art of swearing, haha.

[glow=black,2,300] I try to avoid swearing....vulgarities aren't generally a part of my vocabulary, but during times of extreme emotional stress, I can swear like a sailor.[/glow]

I hope I'm not the only one here who has a swearing problem. Maybe it's just that I see them as normal words ( ? ) ah well.

[glow=black,2,300] Sailors are traditionally known to be foul-mouthed boozers who have some interesting takes on certain creative innuendos. [/glow]

I don't swear, but I grew up in that kind of environment. If I do, usually I'm alone, so it's just me that can hear it.
Jack Sparrow is indeed the best looking pirate, him and Will Turner, yum...

Haha, well, when I'm...intoxicated...I've been known to cuss like a sailor. Haha, anyway...sailors. There don't seem to be any attractive female sailors to my knowledge (I'm not gonna count Gwen Stefani...she's not really a pirate ha).

Oh so true. No Doubt was awesome, but what the devil is this?

I cannot stand her solo music. I wasn't a huge fan of No Doubt. Back in the day I loved Tragic Kingdom, and although I think it's still a fairly good record, I never really got into them after I stopped listening. "Hollaback Girl" is a disgrace to music, period.

I love Hollaback Girl and some of her other solo stuff, but I prefer No Doubt, and can't wait for them to get back together. They were awesome.

I swear alot more now then I used to. One of my friend's fault haha. But they are just words the same as everything else so there's no problem. Unless I'm in the company of my mother...

expletives in general are rather unintelegent. I find they are simply ways to avoid finding more interesting things to say. They don't really make sense either, thus it's easy to turn them around on people. I only use them jokingly or if a charecter in a story or song I'm writing says it.
Otherwise theres much more better ways to say your distrought, angry, or need to insult a person. When in the company of people who swear I tend to tear into them untill they hate me. It's fun stuff.
Pirates are great, but Jack Sparrow is overated. Sorry ladies. =P

Err...I hated the Secret Window with a passion. I guess I haven't seen a lot of Johnny Depp, but I did enjoy him in Pirates.
