[glow=black,2,300] I wrote this at some point during the last school year, during chem class. Anyhow, here's how I viewed the class......
In over my head don't know what to do. Law of Conservation of Mass. I say, Lavoisier who?
Reactants, products, equations swimming through my head chemicals, compounds, solutions might as well be dead
Sitting in confusion, on a hard wooden chair Teacher's going on about reactions, I feel like ripping out my hair
Chemistry is murder, a slow and suffering death Watching as the time clicks by, but it's stuck before the tenth.
Finally, that sweet sound rings and gathering my things, I go, happy as can be. But then something dawns on me, Next I have history.
Yeah, I hated chemistry. The teacher, Dr. Bonnie (as we all called her behind her back, cuz it was Mrs. Rutledge and she expected us all to call her doctor because she's also a college professor and such. we all referred to her as Dr. Bonnie), was a complete witch and I hated her. She and I did not get along at all. But yeah, there's my view on chem.......[/glow]

Haha, yeah, chem for me was awesome in grade 11, but last year, my teacher was a jerk, and no one really got along with him, and it totally killed the class for me. I can totally relate to this poem.

"wooden chai" I think its supposed to be chair... made me think of Chai tea... lol now i want some... tee he.. other than that AWESOME! I loved chem but i think it was mainly because my teacher and i got along... it was my bio teacher that i hated... it could also be becuase in chem we had four people sitting at our table and we would "transfer our learning" around the table...

i really enjoyed the pace and rhyme in your poem and it conveys frustration really well. it does remind me of a poem i wrote about physics but mine has a different feeling behind it. i also teach at a university i only have a masters degree so i do not get called Dr however i have met people in my profession who get upset if they are not called Dr. it really is ridiculous. just because someone is educated it does not mean that they are intelligent. ha ha
in the third and fourth stanzas of your poem the lyrical flow changes i think it might be better if thoes stanzas had the same flow (but hey to me poetry is about the sound of the words) i guess i am really talking about improving your poem for me, and that is just ridiculous lol. i am not good at this criticisim stuff anyway here is my poem about physics no teacher involved...
To Physics photons gluons muons electron protons nutrons forces strong and weak up/down quarks of superstring spooky relativity
spacetime warp with velocity and mass creating gravity coiled dimensional realities time travel possibilities
consciousness discovering the universe is humbeling
